EquaTerra BPO Pulse Survey results 2Q06

EquaTerra’s research practice has just released the findings of its 2Q06 BPO/ITO EquaTerra advisor and BPO/ITO Service Provider Pulse Surveys. This edition of the Advisor and Service Provider Pulse Survey reflects BPO and ITO market activity during 2Q06 (April through June 2006), and projections for 3Q06. It is focused primarily on North America and Western Europe. Topics evaluated include the following:

  • Demand and buying patterns
  • Deal scope, pricing, contract value and profitability
  • Sales cycles and ramp-up time
  • Global services (“offshore”) activity
  • Service provider capacity

These surveys focus on BPO defined as the outsourcing of multiple, back-office or SG&A business processes to a third-party service provider and/or ITO services in either a standalone arrangement or integrated with BPO. The primary process areas covered under the surveys are as follows:

  • Call Center/Customer Care/CRM
  • Finance Accounting & Administration
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Procurement
